I thought Apple stuff was suppose to be easy.
Got my iPad Air today and it fired up iTunes on my PC, and I was able to transfer over the Bias and JamUp apps to it.
However I have a HUGE MP3 library on my PC with some tunes I bought years ago with the iTunes store, and for the past year tons from the Amazon MP3 store via my PC.

When I plug in my two iPods it puts all of the songs from iTunes onto them
However when the iPad syncs with iTunes, it only pulls over the songs purchased through iTunes, and not the ones that I got via Amazon or ripped from CDs which I have many off too listed in iTunes.
I made sure the check box to manually install songs only was unchecked, so all of my songs have a check mark next to them, and the iPad should pull them from iTunes, but it is not, very frustrating.

Also I was able to fire up Safari on the iPad and log into the site here (on my PC right now) but I see no way to bookmark the site here or others I visit on the iPad.
I hit the bookmark symbol and it only shows me the favorites that were preinstalled.
I also hit the + sign, and it does not add the forum here either?

PCs and Android devices are a lot easier for me, I can figure them out with no help at all, but I am lost here with the iPad.
Other than that, the iPad is pretty cool, and much bigger screen than my Kindle Fire.

OK, I found out finally how to sync the music, I had to click the music tab under my iPad in iTunes, and I found that out from this help file.
Dang, out of my 16 GB I have, only 5 GB remain after the music was put on :D
I guess I should have got a bigger iPad???
Not much room left if I am going to try and record guitar tracks and upload them to Sound Cloud.
Set up syncing for iPod, iPhone, or iPad

You can set up your iPod, iPhone, or iPad for automatic or manual syncing.

Automatic syncing: Sync your entire iTunes library or choose specific items to sync. Whenever you connect your device, iTunes updates it automatically to match any changes made to your library since the last sync. You can automatically sync a device with only one iTunes library at a time.

Manual syncing: Drag items to your device individually.

With either syncing method, you can also fill any available space on your device with a random selection of songs by using Autofill.

You can change your sync settings any time you connect the device to your computer.

Select items to sync automatically
Connect your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and select your device.

Select the type of media you want to sync.

The types of media you can sync depends on your device. For more information, see Sync and organize iOS apps and Add photos to iPod, iPhone, or iPad.

Select the Sync checkbox, and select the items you want to sync automatically each time you connect your device.

Click a button to select the kind of content you want to sync, then select the sync checkbox and select the items you want to sync automatically

The bar at the bottom of the window shows how much space will remain on your device after you sync.

Move the pointer over the bar to view details about the content you're syncing, and see how much space is left for more content

When you’re ready to sync, click Apply.

Tip: To make sure certain items are never synced, deselect their checkboxes in your iTunes library, and select “Sync only checked items” in the Summary pane.

You can automatically sync your iTunes library to multiple devices, and use different settings for each device.

WARNING: If you delete a synced item from your iTunes library, the deleted item is removed from your device the next time you sync.

Yeahhhhhh, I found out how to bookmark.
My coworker who is a Mac fanatic is going to crack up when I tell him I find Apple harder to use than PC and Android.
This is going to take some time getting use to.

Tip: you don't have to put all of your music in your portable devices. ;) I only keep what I need or am currently interested in so I have enough for spontaneous photos and movies to be taken.

Be be sure to send an entire iPad backup to your PC and not just to iCloud.

Thanks Boogie for the tips.
Yeah, I have two iPods (one in my FJ full time hooked to the stereo, and one for work that we use for our group stretching first thing in the morning) that have my entire MP3 collection on them, I guess there really is no need to have it all on the iPad too.
Will go back in today and readjust it to only have on there what I might use to jam along with.

I saw the option to backup to the PC too, will tick that checkbox.

Now if only I could get JamUp Pro to work correctly...
