Introduce yourself!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the PRS forums here, but have been lurking for quite a while. Happy to say that I am finally a part of the community after purchasing a 1991 PRS CE24. Just trying to get my 3 posts in as I have a much larger post that I plan on opening, so keep a watch out for it!

Just starting out in music at a fairly advanced age, but the bug finally bit me, and committed myself to purchase a 2020 PRS SE Mira (Black/Red) yesterday and sign up for lessons. I had already decided to help out my ex-brother-in-law by purchasing one of his guitars, a Fender Squier Telecaster (Butterscotch/Blonde) but I don't know when he'll ship it, and the amp, pedal, and other accessories are arriving today and my lessons start next week, so I bought another guitar. Go figure. Anyway, I look forward to a low key musical career, playing for myself, my dogs and snakes, and maybe for others once I feel confident enough. Look forward to speaking with you other members as I dive deeper into music.
Welcome Scuba.
Good choice on a guitar! Enjoy your lessons and play time!

Welcome, Justme_223!
Can’t wait to see your CE.
Don’t forget to make an avatar.

Thank you! Looking forward to the first thread I'm about to make, because I'm hoping it will help others and help to solve one of the few issues that plague us PRS owners ;)

Welcome Justme 223! You have me on the edge of my seat with the big post announcement!!! Can't wait!

Welcome Scubadiver59! I wrote a song years ago talking about how age is just a state of mind, and I feel the same to this day. There are certain things we can't control, but our attitude and willingness to continue to learn and try new things is what keeps us young!! I have a spreadsheet that I am going to be sharing shortly here on the forum with a lot of good guitar info on it, so watch for that. It may be a nice addition to other materials you acquire via lessons and elsewhere! And as always, post pix of your Mira! We all need our six string porn!!

Cheers~

I will post a pic once I'm allowed to...tried linking to my iCloud pics but the forum tagged the link as spam. This is my third post, so maybe I'll be able to now

Hi I’m new to the forum and also new to PRS guitars. Been playing guitar for almost ten years, but my skills are more like a year or two lol.

Been gasing for a guitar for a few months now. I wanted a H/H guitar that’s NOT a strat shape since I have a few of those already. Then this 2016 S2 Standard 22 golden beauty showed up as I was scrolling down. The ad claimed it’s USA made, and was fitted with SD JB/Jazz pickups. I had no idea of this mid level MIA line from PRS, all I knew that there was the mega bucks core models and the overseas made SE line which are also quite fine instruments. We agreed on a price, and made the deal. I can’t believe the condition of this guitar, it looks like it was hardly played, perfectly set up, and when I opened the bag there were the factory pickups, and multiple receipts for the guitar itself which was bought in august 2020 from GC, and another receipt for the pickup installation. Also the pick guard was changed. I must say I think I got quite the deal here!

pics coming soon when I’m allowed to post links. :D

Welcome guys.

Beautiful S2 Std. That gold finish is hot!
Thanks guys! Yeah it’s a standard, I typed custom first for some odd reason, I guess I kept running into the custom when I was researching this guitar. I think that tortoise pick guard makes all the difference. :D
