Introduce yourself!

Hello All.

I am the ultimate slow beginner in guitar playing. Have tinkered with acoustic for a couple years but am just getting serious with this and it is developing into a passionate hobby. Grabbed a PRS last year and absolutely loved it but at the time could not justify the cost vs. my level of interest at the time. Fast forward a year and I was about to pull the trigger on a tele and was talking to my son about the purchase and he said, what about the PRS instead? After what I think was a rational purchasing process I decided on the PRS SE Custom 24. Very excited as it should be arriving in the next few days. Figured I would join the forum and learn from those that have already gone down this path.
Welcome to the club Sour Note! Interesting, I was in the same boat for years. Really wanted a PRS, but could not justify it based on the frequency of my guitar playing and my level of suck! Although my level of suck has changed very little, my level of hours playing has increased (thank you Covid19), so I got my PRS this year. Could not be happier ;~)) I already feel like a better guitar player simply because of how smooth and easy this thing plays ;~)) Keep rockin' it Sour Note and enjoy the new PRS. And of course, post some pix when you have a chance!!!

Really appreciate the welcome. Sad to say I have to return my PRS. Not an issue with the craftsmanship as it is a beautiful instrument but was re-boxed by the dealer and missing a few parts. Will find a different PRS (hopefully same model) from another dealer but this particular guitar was just not meant to be.

hi to all enthusiasts! it's been about 3 weeks now that I am on the PRS forum and I had not introduced myself, first of all I must say that I wanted a PRS guitar for a long time,

Doh!!! Mine came with some surface scratches. The dealer gave me some money back, but certainly not what I wanted when buying an instrument of this caliber and price! Hope you find a new one soon!!!

I think we are all here very affected by PRS MADNESS! then we are in the right place! ok i will post my babies very soon! and thank you for your welcome!

Welcome @Maxime Bousquet. Great introduction. It’s a recurring theme, we all have partners here who tolerate us, hopefully!

You’re correct, this forum is quite a unique place on the Internet. There is little that goes wrong here and when it does it usually resolves quite quickly.

There is a great feeling of brotherhood here. I should know, as I was fortunate to receive an amazing gift from some of the members here, for which I am eternally grateful (no that’s grit in my eye!).

Hi! as promised here are my two PRS, a McCarthy gold top and the custom 24, I like my other guitars but with PRS, I have this impression of not wanting anything else! I never thought it was possible!

Smmmmmmokin'!!!! That CU24 looks a lot like the one I just pulled the trigger on today. Probably won't get it for a week or two (long story), but I believe they could be related ;~)) Thanks for the PRS (Porn Ring Sixstrings)!!
