Introduce yourself!

Hello!
I'm Chip and have been playing since 1976. I just got my first PRS product recently - a Custom 24 SE. I'd played a few over at Sweetwater (I live about 60 miles away) and liked them, but didn't buy one at the time since I wasn't really in the market. Dumb move. A couple of months ago I was on the site and was looking at the one in my avi. My wife looked at the screen and said "Why don't you get it?"

What a wonderful instrument. It plays and sounds great. I'm so impressed with it that I've got my eye on picking up a PRS 509 in the next year or so.

Have a great day!
Welcome ChipDawg!
More pics! We love pics.
Another awesome starter with an avatar.;):)

Good to have you on board Chip! Sounds like a great wife ;~)) Enjoy the slippery slope of the PRS world, as you have already indicated, you can't have just one!!!

Well, I'm 66 now, started playing around 10 years old. Was in Choir in school, and played for my Concert Choir, and the other groups when a guitar was needed. Played in some HS bands. Now I just play for my own enjoyment. I have quite a collection of guitars, and this McCarty SE 594 is my first PRS.

I have been working on guitars for over 40 years. My son is a HS band director and I get all his instruments needing repairs. He plays multiple instruments, and is a Bass player. Piano is his forte.

Hi there!
My name is Neil and i am Norwegian.
Bought my first PRS in 1987, and i sold it a few months later. Remember i hated that guitar
Now I´m grown up and play S2 McCarty thinline and S2 CU24 plus a SE CU24. I use Sonzera20 as my amplification workhorse.
Next on the wishlist is a core cu24...
Welcome Neil!
We can’t wait to see your guitars when you post up some pics.
Don’t forget to put one in your avatar.;):)

Welcome Neil! The pix need to be hosted at a third party site that is https (NOT http). Here is a tutorial as well as links to other tutorials on the topic: https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/sharing-pictures-on-prs-forum.47818/

If you still have troubles after going through that material, there is also the "BB Code" link share available from some hosting services, but no tutorial on that topic exists that I am aware of (if you do find one, let me know so I can add it to the link above).

Glad you found your way back to the PRS and have already submitted to the fact that you will have more!

Welcome to all the newbs! Glad to have you on the PRS Guitars Forum!!!!
Speaking of which, I’ve been a member for quite a while, and still listed as a newbie. Does the moderator change that, or do I need to find a setting somewhere?

Not a biggie. Just something I noticed recently.

Click on your username in the upper right area (next to the envelope and bell), and in that box that pops up click on "Account Details". Once there, scroll down to the section titled "Custom Title" (right below "Profile Banner"). Put what you want in there and it will appear below your avatar. Be sure to hit the "Save" button all the way at the bottom of that page. Let me know if you have any troubles and I will send you some print screens ;~))
