Introduce yourself!

Hey Chris;

Welcome to the forum! Cool that you have so many years under your belt in the Funkin' world!! I too am a huge fan of Funk (I always spell it with a capital F, that is how much I love it) and did a couple of albums (as Da' Mutta' Funka's) worth of original Funk if you are interested. I put this stuff in a link on the Studio & Stage, but here is a direct link if you would like to check it out: https://damuttafunkas.bandcamp.com/

Be sure to post some of your stuff in the Studio & Stage section if you would like to share any of your material!

I have a spreadsheet I put together a while back with a lot of guitar patterns and theory if you are interested. PM me and I will send you a link if you would like to check it out. Not exactly world class (could be better organized, may be a mistake or two), but chock full of valuable information IMO!

Happy postin'!

I’ll get something uploaded asap.
Thanks ever so much for your help. Forgive me for any problems.
I will be in touch.

Hi all! I'm an Italian pianist and hammond organ player, recently crushed on guitars xD truly in love with my sweet 2021 Dodgem Blue SS with maple fretboard. It's my daily study buddy.
Welcome, Andrea. !
Glad you found us.
How do you move that Hammond around? My buddy played drums for a Southern Rock cover band and the keyboardist INSISTED he was using his Hammond. That thing weighed a metric ton! I always made sure to show up late and leave early when they played. That thing wrenched my back the first time I volunteered to help set up their gear.:)
Nothing beats that sound, though.
Anyway, definitely post up some pics of your SS when you can and don’t forget to put one in your avatar.:p:D

Thanks buddy I appreciate your kind message.
I managed to have a little listen to some of your music. Very impressed, very original.
I’m a massive Tackhead fan. I love industrial funk. Your stuff definitely has that feel to it.

Hi DISTORT6, I admit that I switched to an infinitely more easy-to-carry-on and very lightweight clone instrument years ago. My back always thanks me for the choose :)
Anyway, definitely post up some pics of your SS when you can and don’t forget to put one in your avatar.:p:D
This will be the first thing to do when possible. I have to share the beauty!!! Hope to share soon his voice too ;)

If you have any music you would like to share with us, you can post links in the Studio & Stage section!!!
Thanks for the welcome Moondog Wily! I will!

Hello everyone, my name is Staci and I just recently bought a PRS. I purchased a Private Stock HBII Piezo (all Ziricote) and am anxiously awaiting its arrival in two days. I primarily play Hawaiian slack key acoustic guitar (on nylon and steel string guitars) but am interested in venturing into the world of playing some jazz, so I'm hoping the HBII is a good fit for me. I have really enjoyed researching PRS and reading all of your posts about their instruments, it helped to make my decision for me. I hope I enjoy the guitar as much.

As for the non-PRS side of stuff, I'm a former attorney, and now that I no longer practice law, I have put my journalism degree to use by writing books about Emerald Guitars, KoAloha Ukulele and (2 books) about custom Moore Bettah Ukuleles. Looks like a book is already out there about PRS guitars, and I'm hoping Santa Claus decides to put it under the tree for Christmas for me. :)

I want to thank all of you for your informative and entertaining posts, and I look forward to reading more of them in the future.

Welcome to the addiction club (got my first PRS this year in February, an HBII and I now have 3 PRS)! They are incredible instruments, especially the Private Stocks (best of the best)!!
