    Welcome, NMiller!
If that P20E plays HALF as good as it looks, it’s a winner. :)

Thanks, I think it is a tad quieter than the GS Mini I was trying out, however, that also could have been the room. Hard to really compare side by side since it was different stores. I've messed around a little recording it straight into my DAW with a mic & plugged direct in. Just plain mic sounds great, & the line sounds good. Surprised that the pickup seems to be a lot more even where acoustic it has that more scooped mid sound (which I love). I didn't even try the pickup in the store, I don't think I'll be using it that much, more for acoustic playing. But I still wanted the "e" just in case.

Welcome to the club! I had never owned a PRS prior to February 2021, and now, I have two, and a third on layaway. I really love them that much! Looking forward to stories of your PRS musical journey!

Hey NMiller. I have a McCarty 594 HBII and a Custom 24. They are both PRS Core guitars, they were both "finalized" in January of 2021 and they both have six strings. Also, both are 10 Tops. Other than that, just about everything is different. Different number of frets, different pick-ups, different neck shape different body construction, different colors, different fretboard wood, different controls, different bridge/saddle system, different weight (almost two pounds diff) and more. Which results in, different feel, different sounds, etc. I like the action better on the 24 fret CU24, but I love the weight of the HBII and the sound of it's hollowbody and tones/pickups.

The third one that is on layaway is another CU24, but it is a Private Stock item that I just have to have for several personal reasons (even though I can't afford it and am still paying off the first two) ;~)) But even that is still different from the CU24 I already have because it has a stop tail bridge rather than a tremolo bridge, different woods, different pickups, etc. And considering that the pickups in this PS model are the same ones that I really like in the HBII, I believe I will be getting the best of both worlds, and then some! Hopefully will have it by middle of May!!!

Once again, welcome and be sure to post pix, we all love the six string porn here!!!

    Cheers~

Yeah, so I have been a programmer for over 25 years, and I had trouble with it as well. I am going to do a walk through video of the process, and try to get the moderators to put it as a sticky post at the top (there already is one but is outdated and no longer resolves all problems/limitations), but the long and short is as follows:

    1. They do NOT host the images here, so there will be no upload to this site. I am using Flickr which I set up an account for specifically to use on this forum!
    2. The link you use has to be a direct link to an image file (like JPG or PNG)!
    3. It has to be on a https server/address for some browsers to display it!

Let me know if you need any additional specifics and I will help you out.

    Cheers~

Thanks, yes first I used a Google photos share link, & then thought it might be because it's sharing an album (even with just 1 photo), then I tried to share the URL for the specific image within the album, but that didn't work either. Found a post on here (not sure if it's the one you're referring to) that mentions using imgur, but that didn't seem to work either unless I'm not using the right URL or something. Also what stinks is the forum prevented me sharing my Google photos link as a link itself in the text (which is weird because it would post in the image insert). I'll keep tinkering. Appreciate the help!

I started with Google photos, not easy to share image on here so it appears.

@dmatthews put me onto Postimage. It’s free and easy to use.

Late to this party! I’ve been hankering for a PRS for many years and finally pulled the trigger. Check the profile pic. My NTM 2020 CE24 in TGSB is pretty much my ideal guitar-from-Maryland, which BTW, so am I, though I’m living on the fun side of the Potomac these days. I play mostly heavy rock and have had lots of mostly Ibanez, Marshall, and Peavey gear over the years with some B.C. Rich and others mixed in. This guitar will be living beside my AZ as my top picks for a long time methinks.

    Welcome, Would’e!
    Your CE24 looks awesome.
I also came from the pointy metal guitar world. Got my first PRS - a then new 1994 CE24 - and pretty much never looked back.
(My ESP Hanneman doesn’t count. It’s too damn good.:D)

Welcome Would'e! I like you hankered for a PRS for years, but could never justify the price based on my self perceived suckieness on guitar. It February of this year, I pulled the trigger and am addicted. My McCarty 594 HBII and my CU24 both play like silk Ferrari's. Smooth and fast! Looking forward to more pix and be sure to post some music in the Studio & Stage section here https://forums.prsguitars.com/forums/studio-stage.68/ . The music is, after all, why we have these incredible bits of wood and metal!

Ooh. The Hanneman has a Kahler. I was tempted to one of those despite a distaste for Slayer, but those position markers turned me off. I would love to see a PRS Floyd model done properly with a Kahler, a much better system IMHO. I’m curious to see if the Herman Li-PRS partnership will lead to a production guitar and what that might have at the bridge.

Thanks for the welcome. I will indeed try to get some music posted sometime. Just last night I found the sweet spot on my DSL for the 85/15s. Nasty awesomeness!

Just starting out in music at a fairly advanced age, but the bug finally bit me, and committed myself to purchase a 2020 PRS SE Mira (Black/Red) yesterday and sign up for lessons. I had already decided to help out my ex-brother-in-law by purchasing one of his guitars, a Fender Squier Telecaster (Butterscotch/Blonde) but I don't know when he'll ship it, and the amp, pedal, and other accessories are arriving today and my lessons start next week, so I bought another guitar. Go figure. Anyway, I look forward to a low key musical career, playing for myself, my dogs and snakes, and maybe for others once I feel confident enough. Look forward to speaking with you other members as I dive deeper into music.
