interesting take on my musical journey

I was thinking about my guitar journey and how it's evolved through the years.

I started playing about 15 years ago...self taught...
Naturally started on acoustic, and quickly picked up an electic guitar as well.

I started with vintage sytle instruments: strats and teles.
Moved into low end LP styles.

I started by playing oldies....beatles, surf, anything that was simpler to try to pick up single note picking and basic chords.

This led me to love the Jaguar.

Through the years I've evolved from those styles of music to harder pop and blues.
This led to LP stles, HH teles, and such....and I evolved away from surf and started dabbling in other types of music: country, etc.

Lately I've found my preferences have evolved again. I like modern guitars. I like compound radius fretboards, ebony, humbuckers, coil splitting sometimes....and I play harder metal, blues, and 80's pop (michael jackson, etc).

I've noticed I like EVH, PRS, Suhr, and Ibanez more than Fender and Gibson.

I think it's interesting how my musical journey and guitar preferences mimic the timeline of music in general.
Has anybody else noticed this in their journey?

What are you playing now?

My main guitars:
Heritage H150 aritsan aged
SE 594 double cut
EVH Woflgang QM
Fender tele HH mod shop

I aslo find I've evolved from solid state to pure tube...and now I'm into modelling. More modern applications and such make it a useful tool for a non-gigging person like myself.

I find I lean towards the Line 6 Catalyst and Helix tones. They're amazing. I can paly metal, push a button, and have ol' school blues within two seconds.

I am mostly playing Ibanez guitars again. For my recording project my main two guitars are:

Modded SE594
Modded Squier 51

The others that see regular rotation in for leads are:

Custom Esquire
Modded SE DGT

However, when I'm working on riffs and playing for fun, I am all over Ibanez guitars.

The Ibanez prestige are amazing. I’m not exaggerating when I say they are on or with prs and Suhr quality
