Things are going to get better in our group finally! Our singer has his job issue resolved so he will stay but we had to use a different singer friday night to get us through. He did a fantastic job and we had a great crowd!

Our drummer has decided to leave so our original drummer is coming back and I'm very happy about this. He is rock solid and will be a big factor in restoring the tightness that's been lacking. I'm excited about the band again and eager to start pushing forward!

The original guitarist died of a heart attack at 37 years of age and it was quite a shock for the guys. They spent a couple of years struggling with different guitarists until I joined last May. I don't really consider myself a great guitar player but I do bring the ability to lay down a song in a proper nice tight fashion and I always seem to take the leader roll. Like figuring out what needs fixed and how to do it. I also bring good vocals, lead or backups.

The original guitarists wife showed up Friday night and introduced herself to me. It was a little awkward but she gave me the thumbs up. Her husband was a PRS guy too so she quickly picked up on that and went on to say that she felt like the band is finally in a good place and that she thinks her husband would approve of my fit in this group. Like I said, kind of awkward but I'll take it.

So our singer issue is resolved and our drummer issue is resolved and I got an unexpected stamp of approval so all that's left to do is go out and knock em down!

Cool.

Very cool, sounds like things are shaping into form! That's always a tough situation if a member passes away. I'd imagine it's tough on his wife to even go see the band, so take that as a huge blessing/compliment from her.

It's a great feeling when things come together. Fingers crossed for my own band. Lots of talent, and lots of problems with just one member. I am 37 as of yesturday. If I didn't randomly get my bp checked, I might have been in the same boat. I thought that I was in the best shape of my life. All is good now. Lost two great friends/bassists over the years. One was in their 20's, the other just 17. I am really happy for you, and better things to come I am sure!

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I was close to jumping ship with this band but I'm glad I stuck it out. This could be fun!

Maybe some good karma of filling that void for the band, good luck with it!!!

Wonderful! A good band like that is practically family, and it just doesn't get any better than that. Keep on keepin' on!
