Ordered three of the Hercules wall hangers . I wanted these because they swivel and they securely hold a tele headstock. Did this about 10 minutes . Very happy. One down , 2 to go.

Right on! I've got 5 myself.

lol good looking crew you have there!

I I don't have a music room anymore . Gotta share the living room. So three is all I'm putting up.

2 down. I'm sick today and any little reason to sit down and have a drink of green tea is really dragging this project out lol !!

Nice but I ditch those dry wall anchors and find a stud to screw into.

I've had a number of them come out, eventually. It may take years but they can work themselves loose.

We had a 9 pound mirror fall off the wall that was secured with 50 lbs anchors. Shattered on the floor while we were at work and set our alarm off.

We've also had other things come loose that we caught before they came completely off the wall.

I will keep an eye on it , mike. I was worried myself. These drywall anchors feel really solid . I will hafta keep a constant check on them . I was worried about it , but they feel so solid I think it will be ok . Wife wouldn't let me run 5 hangers in a row with a cross bar for support, so I had to center everything up around the door and her painting. No studs in those locations
.

I measured 47 times, the top two corners of each hanger are all exactly 22 4/10's . But they look crooked to me. I have checked & rechecked up/down and left/right before installing. Made a ton of pencil marks. Everything checks out but I guess I have an optical illusion going on !

I needed to mount two 40" LCD TV monitors to the walls at work where the studs are aluminum. I used these same self drilling wall anchors. Once the bracket was on the wall, I pushed and pulled on it and the whole wall was flexing - I could see it moving next to the drop panel ceiling. I'm surprised to hear you had issues, but if you were using 50 pound anchors, maybe they aren't the same as these self drilling ones? Were you using the ones where you drill and then push it in?

My guitar wall mounts have been up for over four years and there's no sign of them coming loose. There is only one stud up in that wall. The previous owners had removed the wall to make one big room, and before they sold the house they put up the wall again and didn't even bother to remove the carpet! The wall is 8 feet long and they only used one stud right in the middle where the drywall sheets came together.
