Hello,

I'm looking at a DGT with a maple neck/fretboard Swamp Ash body. Does anyone have experience with this combination on a DGT?
If so, can you describe the tonal difference between this and a regular core model?

Thanks,
John

Not a DGT but I did a huge pickup swap fest in my core SAS, swamp ash body and maple neck. Pretty much all the pups were distinctively different sounding than in other guitars. Some better and some worse. The PAF varieties all sounded best. Today it's one of my favorite and most versatile guitars.

From my experience I'd think the DGT would sound great with that wood combo.

That may alter the character of the DGT by quite a bit.
I have one with a rosewood neck and it sounds deeper. The maple neck is going to make it brighter. I suspect the bridge pickup will be extra bright sounding!
Not sure what the swamp ash body would do to the tone though!
