I just had an incredible 3 day weekend
I went with Joe (My brother with the serious GAS problem) to Nashville for the UMBowl
2 night of Umphrey's McGee performances at the Ryman Auditorium

The performances were fantastic! Jake Cinninger is just amazing & Brendan Bayliss could be a star in most any band
The people that follow UM are fun and inviting more like a family

Saturday Morning we went to Nashville used and new Music Store and spent time fondiling the guitars and enjoying the offerings

Perhaps the most intriguing side trip of the weekend was Sunday when we went to the "Gibson Garage"
This is an incredible place where they encourage you to play any guitar or amp in the store
My goal here was to see how the Les Paul Standard 50's & Standard 60's matched up to the Core PRS
specifically the DGT and the Cu24
I liked the tone of the 50's better and the play of the 60's better
still all in all If I am spending $3K to $4K
I am buying a PRS
even my 10th Anniversary S2 Cu24 was a better guitar to me than the Les Paul Standards

One exciting side note, I was able to play through one of @László favorite Amps
The Mesa Fillmore Amp I can see why He likes it
It is an impressive Amp I would have enjoyed more time with it

Also thanks to my Buddy and a late night session
I now understand the circle of Fifths better than ever
Joe has a great understanding of music theory and always has a way of explaining things to me that makes it easy to understand and learn

All Toll an Incredible Weekend that added both to my music knowledge and my desire to play

That does sound like a great weekend. Although I think it is almost impossible not to have a great time in Nashville … great music everywhere. Robert’s is my favorite stop … I need to get to a show at the Ryman to check that off the bucket list … the tour there is fantastic.

Sounds like a great weekend!

The Fillmore is one of those amps. I did not need an amp. I did not want to buy another amp. But the minute I heard it? Yeah, I needed it. 🤣

One of my ad clients heard me use it on a Ford project during a remote session. Then he came over and played through it. He went out and bought one a few days later (good player, and a great guy, by the way).

I will put in a plug for the PRS amps I have on hand, the DG30 and HXDA: When I play though one I think, 'The Mac Daddy has arrived!"

I enjoyed the Fillmore
I can see why you like it

However I do wish I could play one of my PRS through it
I did not care for the Les Paul Burstbucker pickups

but I will say, I play at home through a Fender Super Sonic Twin Combo set on Twin Reverb so it was an apples to oranges deal
I would need to play my PRS through the Fillmore or the Les Paul through my Fender

For now I am happy with my Fender Amp but a year ago I liked the Archon best
and who knows what will come in another year when my technique and skill has improved even more
