OK. So, with this recording project coming up, I decided to upgrade my digital multi effects modeler. I am currently running a Line 6 Pod HD500X through the front of my Fender HR DeVille. It does exactly what I need it to do, but, I was looking for something that was easier to tweak on the fly and would have better cab and amp models than the older tech that the pod has. What sold me on this was the touchscreen and the ease of use more than the "amount" of stuff packed into it. Through headphones and monitors, the sound on the effects seem very similar to the Helix and Fractal (to my ears and what I need it for) but the learning curve seems to be shorter as the way you operate it seems more intuitive. So, I went Headrush. AND I couldn't help myself as they let me get it on credit  Sooooooooooo.....they sucked me in. I will let you guys know if I feel like it was a good investment once I get it in and run it through its paces. Any of you guys have this? And what recommendations do you have to settle into it quickly?

I just got a notification that it is out for delivery already! It wasn't supposed to be here until tomorrow. Now THAT was unexpected! That NEVER happens with these shipping companies

I really enjoyed my Headrush when I had it. Sold it and got a Helix, wanting the second guitar input. Great sound, easy to use, and fun to use. I miss the looper and the IR management.

Doc McFarland has a video series on it that I found very helpful when I was getting started.

One thing to be careful with is how you disconnect it from your computer. I never had to connect mine very often. When you disconnect, you have to treat it like a flash drive. Use the eject function on your computer to do it safely.

When I got mine, they'd had a set of Choptones sample patches available for download. It was about a dozen, and gave me some great starting points.
