Didja play the soapy?I did play two very nice used SC 594s at Dave’s on the trip. I ended up pulling the trigger on this one because it seemed to be a better value (10 top, locking tuners and 59/09 pups) for less money. This one was in Connecticut and on Reverb. Dave’s in Lacrosse is an amazing place and I was really blown away with their offerings as well as the vintage collection upstairs. I would highly recommend Dave’s to anyone who has not been there.
Unfortunately not. The soapbar 594 was not in Lacrosse and at another location.Didja play the soapy?
Congrats on the purchase, it's killer!
Bummer, but nice trip anyway!Unfortunately not. The soapbar 594 was not in Lacrosse and at another location.
I'm not sure if it originally had the 59/09's or not.Congratulations! Did the guitar come with the 59/09's originally or did the previous owner install them? What's the impact on overalll tone?
Nice!I'm not sure if it originally had the 59/09's or not.
The guitar just arrived yesterday and it sure sounds great. It has a fantastic warm tone to my ears but still has plenty of gain if needed. The sustain is just unbelievable ... I need to clock it but it seems like it will carry out a note for 15+ seconds. I'd also like to compliment Brian's Guitars in Cheshire, CT where this guitar was located. They rated this 2016 SC 594 very conservatively at "very good". In my opinion, it is in "excellent" condition and was set up fantastic. The PRS hard case also looks brand new. I'm very satisfied with the whole transaction on Reverb.
I'm putting my preferred strings on it today and waxing down the neck which is already quite smooth but not quite as smooth as my CE 24 with satin. Three or four coats of Zaino should get it there.
It did not have 59/09. I owned it for a few months and sold it to Brian’s guitars. I actually did swap the 58/15 LT pickups to bare knuckles when I played it. But I returned it to stock pickups when i sold it. Somebody else bought it and sold it back to the shop. By then the pickups had been changed to the covered 59/09. I never tried it with the 59/09 but imagine I would have liked it more. Congrats on the score. It’s a hell of a guitar. I still love 594sI'm not sure if it originally had the 59/09's or not.

That is wild that you once owned this guitar. It’s still in great shape and I will take good care of it. Like all McCarty’s the sustain is off the charts. I actually clocked it yesterday at 44 seconds on the A string. Thanks for the reply. It did not have 59/09. I owned it for a few months and sold it to Brian’s guitars.
