I have heard that. Most of the IR's I have come across were good but few have been absolutely great. I guess a lot of that depends on what you are looking for and want/need.I can but I only use the stock ones in the Kemper.
Some say the Celestion ones are good.
True! It could potentially take countless hours upon hours to really go through all that are out there in these packs and really give them a fair go.I've bought and like some of the Ownhammer 4x12 and 2x12 IRs with my Axe-FX III. I find it hard to recommend any specific IRs since there are SO many available, and lots of hundreds come in many of the packs. I find it really difficult to even scratch the surface.
Godsend for a gig or home player.I have heard that. Most of the IR's I have come across were good but few have been absolutely great. I guess a lot of that depends on what you are looking for and want/need.
How do you like your Kemper?
You and me both on the love the amps thing. Heck, I love gear period! I have two as well and looking to get another one.Godsend for a gig or home player.
Light, versatile, and dependable.
I have one at the studio/practice space, and one at home.
I LOVE my amps.
You don't mess around do ya?!I got sucked into the IR rabbit hole when I was trying Helix out and really despised the time wasted trying to find something I'd like and then trying to something I'd like a little bit more, ect. The IRs I was trying out were Celestion and Ownhammer. I ditched both the Helix and IRs after 3 days.
Oh I'll mess around. I love to mess around. But I need to see some progress when messing around and get inspired to continue messing around. If I don't, I move on to something else. You don't mess around do ya?!
maybe http://acousticir.free.fr/spip.php?rubrique2I did back when I had a helix. However, I actually made my own with my amps using different mic placements on the speakers. It was a fun project that yielded maybe 5 or so of the 54+ I made remotely useful.
I did find some really interesting IRs of acoustic instruments that really opened up the piezo pickup guitars but I can't remember where I found those or the name of them.
Chug is my drug!I am currently using Sonic DNA's Zerstorung built on the EPB(Powerball) and RB (Bogner) amps all dialed in for crushing high gain tones. Each rig has matching IRs in Tru, Hot Glass, and Hot Glass xPanded versions. I also use Choptones' Metal Pack 3. Obviously, I'm a chugger.
They have lots of fans at TGP as well. I still haven't tried any of them. Some people just rave about them though.I didn't see them mentioned yet so I will mention them. I bought some York Audio IRs. I have a Kemper and a Fractal FM9. These IRs get a ton of press in those communities, more in the Fractal community. I bought a few packs of them when they were on sale during the black friday sales last year. I like them enough that I don't see me buying any more from anyone else.
I also found some free acoustic IRs that I put in my FM9. I set up a patch to run my P22 guitars where I run the piezo to a second input and give it a separate signal chain them merge it in to one output at the end. It works well and the acoustic parts sound like they should.
EDIT: I was going to post a link and forgot to. Sorry! Here it is.

If TGP is raving about anything it is probably NOT something that will work for me...lol.They have lots of fans at TGP as well. I still haven't tried any of them. Some people just rave about them though.
