Hello good morning, this is my first Post on the forum :)
I need some opinion or advice about an idea that I have in mind.
In 2017 I obtained my first PRS which was the SE Standard Multifoil model, this model being influenced by one of my favorite musicians, user of the brand that has been Gustavo Cerati, a musician who was very famous in Latin America who used the Multifoil model of 80's years.
In question the guitar was my first good guitar that I had in my 15 years playing guitar and although I had already gone through guitars Fender had never had an instrument of such fantastic quality.
I quite liked everything in general.

Recently in this year 2019 I saw that they announced the SE Paul's Guitar models and much more recently SE Custom 24 35th and the SE versions of the Hollowbody model and that was where I asked myself the following question:

It will be a good idea to sell my current PRS and save a little extra to be able to acquire any of those 3 2020 models that I just mentioned being an Upgrade and a better option or consider that it is better to keep my current PRS and better to save the total to be able to acquire any of the 3 models i mentioned?

What I liked about those 3 models was its new Coil Tap option, the TCI and 59/09 pads in addition to the finishes and the Carve Top. I would really appreciate your opinions about it, good day!

Guitars aren’t wives. You’re allowed to have more than one at the same time.
I plan to keep the first SE that got me into PRS. It’s nice to have that for sentimental reasons as well as a reminder of my PRS roots.
If Gustavo Cerati inspired you to get your multifoil, I think you should keep it. It’s a way of honoring him.

Not selling it will mean waiting longer to get your next PRS, but you have a fine guitar to play while you wait.

You're very right, I hadn't seen it that way.

We’re all here to present different ways to look at things. (I learn something new here everyday)

Besides, if you sold that guitar, you’d have to change that badass avatar you brandish.

I sold my SE standard when I found an SE custom with a fancy spalted maple top at a decent price. I got about 90% of what I paid. I figure $30 for six months of guitar rental is pretty good.

I’ve pre ordered the 35th anniversary SE 24. My 71 Mustang is on Craigslist as we speak.

Personally, I'd try and play those 3 before selling your SE. GAS can be a seductive lady for sure.

Now having said that, I wound up moving my SE Custom 24 30th Anni with dbl Birds for a SE One Korina. Regrets? Not a single one. I liked the 24, but I freaking LOVE my One. Good luck!
