I'm not a big fan of the Custom 24 08

Also, you asked for feedback about how other players set up their amps.
This Is A Tricky One. Amps Have Knobs That Twist A Couple Of Ways. Some Have Buttons That Push in And Out. They May Even Have Switches That Can Go A Couple Of Directions And Maybe Even Be Neutral In The Middle Position. Very, Very Challenging Stuff And There Could Even Be Other Things To Mess With On The Back. My Advice Is Get A Good Amount Of Volume Going From A Contraption Like That And Twist, Push, Toggle Away In Every Direction Until It Sounds Good To You. And This Is Very Important As Well...Adjust With Your Ears And Not Your Eyes! Sweep All Controls Left And Right And Stop In The Precise Location That You Think It Sounds Good Then Move On To The Next One. After You Have Gone Through All Of Them You Can Possibly Fine Tune Them Even Further. It's Crazy And Can Be Great Fun! I Highly Recommend It!! :)

Thank you for your replies; do you agree the Custom 24 is less mid range push than the Custom 24 08? Perhaps that might be a better option if I want less mids?

If You Are Asking Me I Would Say It Is Likely Guitar Dependent. No Two Guitars Are Alike. A Guitar Is A Mid Range Instrument. Some Of These Things You Make Mention Of Are easily Corrected With Amp Settings, Pickups/Pickup Height And Volume/Tone Controls. IMO, Find A Guitar That You Like How It Plays And Feels Naturally And Can Afford And Adjust Accordingly From There.
