I have followed posts from this forum for a long time, being a huge fan of PRS but never really having enough money to ever acquire one. Finally I have joined you all. Recently there was an ad in the local Craigslist about a 2002 Custom 22 finished in black cherry. Apparently it's equipped with dragon II pickups, wide/fat mahogany neck and indian rosewood fretboard. Forget about serial numbers, pic not provided, put that route out of your head and do this: Suppose you had to judge the authenticity of this guitar given nothing but ONLY these pictures and the information I provided, what would your experienced verdict be? I need your intuition since you all have much more experience with these magnificent guitars. Thank you all in advance, I'm counting on you guys.

Is it a custom or a ce? I found it on Ebay and if it is a cu it's a great deal. If it's a CE then it's priced about right. Great guitar either way and you wouldn't regret it I wouldn't think.

Custom. CE would have a maple neck and different headstock face also I believe.

Good point. Looks like a solid deal. Though, after seeing some pics on the other forum of a deal gone bad I would INSIST on a picture of the serial number and the back of it.

I'm not an expert but I have spent quite a bit of time obsessing on PRS guitars and the pics you've shown do not throw up any red flags.

It's likely the real deal
