I'm (Finally) in the club...with a McCarty MC58!

Congrats on this beauty and welcome
As sleary said you can't go wrong with H&K or even try the Blackstar range
Great amps for the money too... Happy hunting

Thanks Shinksma!

I'm a "Classic Rock"/Blues kinda guy...so your standard Led Zep, Rush, AC/DC, SRV. Been learning some Joe Walsh stuff along with Steely Dan material lately. I play as a hobby so whatever I get it needs to be "Tamable" and home friendly in terms of volume, but I don't want it to lose it's character when I dial it back. I've not really delved into the world of amps just yet so any advice is good advice at the moment! All three of the models you recommend are on my list of prospects!

Good eye on my pinball machines! Been building a modest collection over the past several years. Always loved pinball as it requires good hand/eye coordination, just like playing guitar (although that may be more hand/ear in the case of guitar). Some days I unwind with a game of pin and others its playing guitar...and many days both!

Cheers!

Congrats!
Cool guitar. And if the sig is forged, it's a damned good one, Sure looks real enough.
Best thing to do is to try as many amps as you can. I've bought a lot of things from listening to internet clips and it never quite turns out like I imagine.

Thats a sexy guitar!!!

As for the amp I'd say try out some of the smaller blackstar's (HT range or the ID Range dependant on budget) they're great for rock music and really decent for playing at home.

Love the finish. Congratulations

I had an ad100vt a few years back and it was a decent amp. Good tone wise however if you really want a versatile amp then Hughes and kettner grandmaster 36 . Of course amps are subjective but I've played through a lot of amps and for me this is the best......

Hmmm...the H&K 36 looks very interesting! I saw a tubemeister 18 for sale at GC that looked interesting...was unable to linger and play it however. Will keep the 36 on my radar...thx for the suggestion!

:-) Sure I could list more than a few! But alas...kids in High School on the verge of college so disposable income is in short supply these days. Soon they will be off my bank account...then LOOK OUT! :-)
GREAT start!

Have you picked out your next one yet?

Seen many good Youtube vids with Blackstar amps so they are on my shortlist to check out as well! Thanks for the suggestion!

That is a beauty man! Congrats!
If your on a budget the Egnater Tweaker 15 head and cab is an absolute killer amp. Yes it is only one channel but so versatile with the options it gives you on that one channel.

Nice guitar.

The Mesa Boogie Mark V is incredibly versatile. The new Mark 25 head gives you 2 of its 3 channels for half the price. It delivers on all but the most brutal modern metal tones, and even they can be coaxed with the right overdrive.

Hmmm...after further review I think the Mesa Boogie Mark 5 is at top of my short list! Now to go find one to test somewhere!

Congratulations and welcome! My first PRS was a McCarty that I still have. Although I now play my SC-58 more often, it's still a fantastic guitar.

I have played Mesa/Boogie amplifiers even longer than PRS Guitars. I have a studio .22 and a Stiletto Ace and both guitars sound fantastic through both of them. Mesa no longer makes these models The Mark V (regular or mini) appears to be a super versatile amp that can handle just about any style.

Gorgeous start, Steve... killer finish, you're gonna love 'em!...and let us know when number 2 comes along....(Nooooo, not THAT number 2?!??!?!!)
I absolutely love the way the black just hugs the edge!!
