Was saving my pennies for a (shudder at the thought) LP Traditional...when this little beauty caught my eye on Ebay. Suffice it to say that my first real guitar is an MC58 signed by the master Jedi Paul himself....or maybe the dude that posted it on ebay ;-)

Anyhoo...I'm thrilled with the feel of this guitar and never knew how much of a struggle my old Ibanez skinny neck was to play. The wide pattern neck on this MC58 makes playing effortless (for me and my long-ish fingers).

Now I just need to find an amp worthy of this fine instrument (currently just have a VOX AD30VT practice amp...any suggestions guys?

Please to enjoy some pics of my new toy!

Sweet guitar! Awesome first post!

As for amp suggestions, it really depends on what style of music you play, and what your budget might be. The PRS Archon series amps have their fans here, obviously, as well as the other PRS amps. On the other hand, any "good" amp that suits your style will likely be most acceptable, such as a Mesa/Boogie, or Fender Twin Reverb, or a Marshall stack, or ...

So, you collect pinball machines too, I take it? A friend of mine has a collection, and just started really getting into guitar too.

Sweeeet! MC58 is a great model, wish they still made it. Never had one, but heard a guy playing one through an AC30 once and it was one of the best in-person guitar tones I've ever heard. Stoptail, 22 frets, thick body, can't go wrong with that. IMO, the 57/08's sound great with almost anything. Find an amp that tickles your fancy and they won't disappoint!

Thats SWEET! Welcome to the Party!!

WRT amps, I'm not familiar with that particular vox, but if you like vox voiced amps we are in a veritable golden age with great choices at many price points.

Love the finish. Congratulations

I had an ad100vt a few years back and it was a decent amp. Good tone wise however if you really want a versatile amp then Hughes and kettner grandmaster 36 . Of course amps are subjective but I've played through a lot of amps and for me this is the best......

You chose wisely...

The amp would be really subjective, just bring this beauty to the store and try them all out, as many as you can until you found the one you like most.

Very nice. Congrats.

What styles of music do you play? Amps are a huge piece of the tone puzzle and are so subjective. This group can point out some great options based on a few thousand collective years of experience (and that's just from Les!).
