Im down to 5 electrics ...all PRS...

I have 13 stringed instruments (3 PRS electric, a strat, an Eko Kadett, EBMM Stingray Bass, Steinberger XM2T bass, Martin J-40, Martin D12-20, Carlos acoustic, Kelii Uke, Churango from Peru and some 3 string thing that I forgot the name of that I purchased in Morocco) and looking forward to adding new ones as funds become available ;~)) I do not subscribe to this "downsizing" meme at this time, just not my bag baby! Now where did I put that talent collection?

I would like to downsize too.. I have 19 PRS cores (11 are various HB's/AT's - not including semi hollows) and I have another 5 SE's.

It's hard, I really don't want to part with them, but I now have too many and they're starting to take up too much room.... don't get me started on amps!!

First world problems.

I'm down to eight guitars from a collection of twenty five. These guitars are keepers and will never be sold by me. I'm 63 and my live playing days are over. I still have my amps. They don't get much use so they might be sold in the future. I have two Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100 watt heads and a Hiwatt Jimmy Page 100 watt head along with three Marshall JCM900 Lead 1960 cabinets. My current amp that I use is a Yamaha THR30II.

I was down to 11 electrics, six of them PRS about 5 years ago. Now I'm at 24 electric guitars, and 20 of them are PRS. This is mostly because I love playing guitar, and I love buying cool new guitars, but I hate selling guitars, and there are no good consignment opportunities anywhere near me... And I have a big house and plenty of space for guitars. FTR, I'm 62 and decided back when I was 55 that I was constitutionally disinclined to work solely for the purpose of stockpiling more money I don't need, and my wife long ago decided that she didn't care how many guitars I have lying about so long as I don't buy anymore accordions...

More guitars and less accordions seem like acceptable parameters to me.

Great strategy and thanks for the tip. I’m going to rent an accordion for a month to test this theory on Mrs. T..

Two acoustic/electrics, 31 electrics, 5 string bass, 2 keyboards (Roland Fantom-07 and Yamaha MODX7+), and last but not least, an Alesis DM10 MkII electronic drum kit with an Alesis Strike Pro drum module. Won't get into mixers, PA, and recording equipment and computers! LoL!
