IKNOWALITTLES' HELPFUL HINTS

If you have lost something (keys, credit card, whatever), it is always best to look where they are, not where they aren't.
Totally agree, bro. Alternate post title: Tales from the fog of the morning after...

If you’ve awoken from dreaming you were at the urinal enjoying glorious relief, just in time to keep from moistening the bed, but the room is still spinning and the toilet is 30’ away, aim your path in between the double images and take big strides, stopping for no furniture. Cleaning the floor is always better than cleaning the bed...especially when you’re still in it.

What drives me absolutely crazy is situations when someone runs across something which was obviously left behind by someone else who you know good and well is going to come back looking for it VERY SOON but that Good Samaritan Wannabe picks it us and relocates it to another location where the owner will never find it.

Example: Cell phone left in bathroom stall. Won't take long for the owner to retrace their steps back to that stall and find their phone. But NOOOooo... some GSW takes the phone to another floor of the building and gives it to a receptionist because apparently there's an unwritten rule that any random receptionist's (or executive assistants or whatever they call themselves these days) desk double as a lost & found department.

Or how about accidentally leaving my keys on the table in the mall at the practically empty food court. I'm not going anywhere without my keys so I WILL retrace their steps to my table minutes later only to (eventually) discover that the cleaning lady who doesn't speak a word of English has pocketed my keys and is keeping them in her apron. It took me longer to play charades with her (before it finally dawned on her that I was looking for me lost keys) than it took for me to retrace my steps back to the table.

My point is, WHY THE HELL DON'T PEOPLE JUST LEAVE LOST CRAP RIGHT WHERE IT LAYS WHEN YOU KNOW GOOD AND WELL THAT THE OWNER IS GOING TO COME BACK LOOKING FOR IT?!!!

Because, inevitably, some d-bag is gonna pick it up, put it in their pocket and keep/pawn/sell/use it to break into your house.
