If the PRS Artist Relations Manager (Bev) called you and asked you to recommend 3 guitarists you think they should chase...

1) Who would you suggest?
2) Why?
3) What is the PRS Model you would recommend?

I'd add a further wrinkle to this. The players should not be associated with a current signature model. i.e Eric Clapton and his signature Strat.

Wow Hans...tough one. I have a few but will go with the most mainstream that I can think of off the top of my head.

1) Keith Urban

2) He is an absolute killer on the guitar and has a huge worldwide following and is very "in the public eye".

3) The DC-3, CU24, NF-3

(I don't know if he has a sig model anywhere else)

1) Bibi McGill (she is the lead guitar player for Beyonce)

2) Great chops and again, very "in the public eye".

3) McCarty, Starla

1) Any popular Christian Genre guitarist who plays Gretsch.

2) I know A LOT of christian guitarists that buy Gretsch guitars because these Christian band artists play them.

3) Starla, HB II w/Piezo, JA-15 with Starla pickups

No one. PRS shouldn't chase anyone - artists should chase PRS.

You either care about paychecks or good guitars and good people - it's up to them.

Shawn, you've thrown a curveball there...

There's lots of guitarists i'd love to see playing a PRS. Gilmour, Knopfler and many more but they've all got sig guitars. I'll have to think about this...

Gilmour playing a PRS. now thats a beautiful dream. just think of the tone that man could get with a great guitar instead of a Strat.(not a Strat fan)

1. Pete Loeffler
2. Chevelle is an accomplished band with a prominent guitar sound, and he's loyally sported PRS's since their first album.
3. An American made baritone.

1. Paco de Lucia. I have a whole thread devoted to this exact subject so I will spare you all.

2. David Macklovitch from Chromeo. He is also the lead singer, and girls like Chromeo.... PRS needs more endorsers from bands that girls like.
He plays mostly V's and Les Pauls so I would suggest a DGT.

3. Rob Harris from Jamiroquai. Girls like Jamiroquai, PRS needs more endorsers from bands that girls like.

He plays Strats and Musicmans so maybe a 305 or a swamp ash studio? I'm sure the chances of it showing up on stage would increase if you made one with a Ferrari logo on it.

1) Gary Clarke Jr.
2) Very Talented guitarist...Good song writer
That IS a good pick. Just saw him for the first time and loved the vibe. Hope he continues to develop. He sounded kinda like a Robert Johnson/Hendrix/Lenny Kravitz/Ted Nugent sort of meld (threw Nuge in there for a bit of extra edge!).

Guitar choice would be tough though....he's an earthy, elemental type of player, so the guitar should reflect that. McCarty maybe?? How 'bout a SC HB with no piezo?!!

I had fun with my list. It's based on artists I really dig. It would look different if I was trying to maximize income.

1) Ihsahn
2) 7's were just released. It's time to start thinking about 8's. Ihsahn would use a wealth of PRS guitars. He's an icon of the genre.
3) PRS Custom 24 for the older Emperor stuff, PRS SE for the 7 String stuff, a PS 8 String for the newer material. He needs a JA-15 too. And a bass.

1) Gojira
2) I think they have an interesting message and a good sound. They would look great rocking PRS.
3) Custom 22's. I'd put the bass player on PRS too.

1) Vildhjarta
2) These guys came out with a record unlike anything I have ever heard. It's ambient but so slamming heavy. Might help with a production model 7.
3) SE 7's and PS 7's. I'd put them on a production model 7 if one was ever released.

Damon Johnson
He is a freaking amazing guitar player and is involved with several prominent recording and touring artists. Brother Cane, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy(recording as Black Star Riders).
A Signature SC245 would be ideal as he is an LP junkie...

DJ Ashba
Stellar guitar player/song writer and would give the brand great exposure to a sizeable demographic. He's in Guns N Roses and Sixx AM.
408 MT Trem would be versatile enough to cover all the ground he treads...

Doyle Bramhall II
I'd just echo the sentiment above.
DC3 or 305...

When I saw that, thought, wow, I can play a little but a endorsement i'm not that good, then I re-read it and the 1st name was wrong... close but no cigar :)
