So I went to the DGS to help Patty Henderson run her Bugs Henderson booth. My job was to sit with Brandon (played guitar with Bugs in the Shuffle Kings) and play guitar in the booth. So I was extremely excited when I found out that this would be my job for the weekend. I was also excited because I got to play Bugs' guitars and amp (his Dallas). Here some shots of his guitars

Here are the three tone monsters (IMHO)

Here are some stab wounds where Bugs literally stabbed the guitar with a knife as part of a schtik he and the band did.

Never seen a PRS like that before? What model is that?

Keep on it, Tex. You got hosed, right? Get out the torches and pitchforks!

Don't let The Man tell you what you can or can't post on his forum. ;)

Those are nice guitars Dane. I like the finish on the red one, not sure what the brand is though?

Do you have details on his various setups, like has he done any pup changes?

Congrats to you, Sir! What an incredible honor. Thanks for both the story and the pictures. Very Cool!

No one took any videos.

My favorite was the whitewash McCarty with the rosewood neck. A close second was a tie - the McCarty soapbar and the green McCarty.

As for pickups, I am not sure. I didn't ask. I do know that he was very fond of 57/08's though. I think the McCarty guitars were stock, but I am not sure. PRSh would know, maybe he will chime in.

I came home with plenty of Bugs swag, but no gear.

And yes, I did get to see JD...which is always a pleasure. He and Elaine are very very very good people.

Tex - why do I feel like you are trying to set me up for something? Anyway - it is a 345, but had the neck replaced and the fretboard replaced with a 335 fretboard.

The woman at the booth introduced me to Brandon. I was there Friday at the same time as another guy who had built one of Bug's amps. They started talking with him so I drifted away.

Yup! I remember that. The guy built the cabinet for Bugs' 4x10 Vibrolux. I also remember you gracefully pulling back. I am sorry we didn't get to talk more. (BTW - My avatar is not me). I was the guy in the booth with the beard.
