I Was The Victim of an Unforseen Price Drop

What was I supposed to do? 1994 CE24. Alder body, really nice flamed maple top in a very unusual scarlet burst. All-original, WT neck profile, HFS/VB, two-piece trem (too "new" for Mil-Com). 9/10 condition, OHSC & candy. A $500 price drop at a oft-loathed major retailer put her at the sub-$1K mark. What else was I supposed to do? I called the proper authorities...who brought her to a safe house where she can live the rest of her life surrounded by her brethren in peace, which is occasionally disrupted by wailing harmonics and funky chunky rhythm...
