Tone report time so far....

It covers everything I throw at it. Playing through a hughes and kettner grandmesiter 36 with a 2 x12 cab.

The coil splits are prefect for a nice jazz melody. Very useable splits, I might add. Really nice mids in the mix and has some snap . Most likely from the maple cap.

Put it In dirty channel now. Think metallica tone, that's what she sounds like to me. Not too bright, not too dark...just a great mix in there. Very vintage metal tone. Beautiful sustain and great harmonics.

I played a few core line cu 24s in the past. Mostly with 59/09 and hfs....trying to compare is like apples to oranges really. Honestly I like the s2 more IMHO . Playability is amazing. . Roll offs in the tone and volume pots are really touchy like my dgt. Love that.

The top was very important to me. My dealer brought in a black cherry and this one. The black cherry was nice too but when he pulled this out of the bag , I immediately said this one. Instant love .....

Love this guitar. The bevel cut is very comfortable and really helps palm muting. Sound....still killer. Played my dgt today and the cu24 is IMO equal in terms of playability .
