I tried to buy another guitar, I really did. Sigh.

Ooooo, a sale? Maybe i should pick up another SE. Except everything that interests me i either already have in Core or SE, or it isn't a stoptail. I even considered snagging a sandblasted swampy but the dang neck carve is PT. sigh.

Well, maybe an S2. sigh. Again, dupes of what I already have with the exception of the Vela and maybe the MK, but I'm not sure i would need it considering i have the NF53. Sigh. So maybe a Vela but i'm not sure where it would fit sonically.

Similar problem with CE and Core. Sigh.

So the next thing i know i'm trolling Reverb again looking for a stoptail with D1's.

How about a new amp? It worked backwards for me. I decided I’m good with the TC-100, Kemper and Katana Air EX for a while. So I type PRS into CL, and now I have a new to me KL380…

I don't do satin. I am considering the Vela line, however, but i'll need to try one to see where it would sonically fit in the stable, and if that body shape is comfortable

i love how the melody of the chorus is in the lower register early in the song but launches as the song progresses

I thought that about a Kemper, too. Then I happened to get the Tone Junkies everything pack for free. Then the Kemper showed up. What I find I do is stick to about five different profiles that I really like, with a few others that are very situational. I was (and am) surprised that I don’t spend all my time fiddling.

I also know what you mean about current guitar offerings. I feel bound to the used market.

My Vela is one of the most comfortable guitars I own. I love how lively and open the satin makes it. But a glossy Vela semi-hollow would also be a great guitar in my opinion. They're a real sleeper in the PRS lineup.

Exactly why I sold my Kempers (twice). I played the profile I liked. Why have a thousand amps in a box to play one.

I bought that amp, Dr Z Z 28 MKII, and don’t feel like I need another amp.

For transparency, I do have another Dr Z, Maz 8 MK II, and a Boss Katana, and Roland Cube Lite, but those last two are just cheapie spares and for couch noodling. With two Z’s I’m covered.

A very astute observation. Wouldn't surprise me if that's the case with lots of modeler owners.

I have a PRS 12-string. The older 3 pup solid version. Wish I also had one of the more recent semi-hollow 2-pup versions too - on my GAS list, but below a few other models right now...

I don't play that 12-string enough - I need to get it into the rotation.
