The only cure for my PRS GAS would be my internet going down or not being able to access it for some reason. Not only would it prevent me from seeing and/or tempted by PRS guitars - especially a lot of those I see here, I would be more concerned about trying to get my internet back up or what ever is stopping me from accessing (health for example). Obviously if the cause of the internet going down is something very serious, then I think I maybe more concerned about that or ensuring my collection is 'safe' from what ever disaster has happened than adding to it....
As for buying a PRS (regardless of which) or any instrument, that will never cure GAS. It may satiate it, reduce it to almost nothing for a while but before you know it, its grown and grown again. Little things like seeing the Private Stock Friday thread and others NGD posts, NAMM and other events, PRS new or limited edition models, emails from retailers, gaps in your Tonal palette that could be filled etc. As time goes on, that GAS grows and grows...
Even if you think you are sorted for guitars, browsing retailers for other gear like Pedals, you are still tempted to see what PRS are in stock, whether new or used, what stock they may have in sales. Even if you have the models, seeing a special edition or variation of the model you have - a semi-hollow edition, a Piezo or mini-toggle 08 edition, a revised pick-up edition etc and you start thinking 'maybe'...
In all honesty, cutting off access - whether that's due to a 'disaster' (man made or natural) or health, I can't see anything curing GAS.
I live in a very small apartment with just 2 rooms that realistically can be used to keep my collection. I am perhaps at capacity and keep my guitars in cases. Not only does this keep them safe but it also reduces their 'footprint' - not having to find a place for the guitar and case separately. If I add another, I maybe able to squeeze it in with the others but more than that, then things may get a bit difficult - that's the point at which I would need to rearrange things or sell/scrap things (not my Guitars) in an effort to fit more instruments in. I am certain that GAS will continue to build because I have already been a Max capacity before I added the Special which was 'squeezed' in because I wanted that guitar. I am at the same point I was a few months before I got that special, thinking I maybe able to squeeze 1 more in...
As the saying goes, you always need 1 more, and I am thinking how can add 1 more, thinking I can squeeze 1 more in despite thinking I was at capacity before I squeezed in my 5th. You know its bad when you start thinking about changing the furniture to increase guitar storage capacity...
