I have been pretty good about not buying any PRSi in the last year - my last purchase was the P24, last April - about 11 months. And I've been confident that because I had other expenses to account for throughout 2016 that I was not going to procure another guitar. I even used my old Jedi Mind Trick of saying "if I take a new group photo of my guitars it means I am doomed to buy one within a month afterwards, thus obsoleting the photo, so I will avoid taking pictures! Aha!"

But I did have some searches/alerts on eBay for a certain model, mainly so I could monitor the typical price ranges and see how they fared. Well, that was either a really bad or really good idea, because a particular variation of the model got listed that was an absolute match for my expectations. It was an auction, and I knew I was not likely to win it, if only because I'd blow the last-minute-bid timing game. So I expected to pass it by. I thought I'd check other non-auction selling sites just to see whether this particular combination of features was common to the model, and I found the guitar listed elsewhere. After some fair negotiations, we agreed the deal.

To help distract me while I wait for it to arrive, I decided to post a couple of small crops from the seller's photos to hint at what it is. This is probably way too easy for some folks, but I'm curious what happens.

I'll start with this one:

shinksma,
Hi, and congratulations on your next PRS. I'm new here and have been saving for a PS.
I understand how you feel about not wanting to buy another guitar but cannot resist.
I look on Reverb, Ebay, PRS dealers and other sites every day, and have been for the last few months, trying to find a PRS that I can live with, but I keep going back to the PS section and realize that I just need to save for what I want.

I had called different music stores when I "thought" I had found one, but every time I went to order, something went wrong. Once my bank stopped the sale as they thought someone had taken my card. Once, a store could not get their credit card machine working. This happened like 4 times. I then realized that I probably was not meant to own the guitar I was trying to order.

I had found a Paul's Graphite guitar, and thought about those, but then I found a 408, then the 594, and the Violin II.
As I found these newer, more expensive guitars, I decided to just save up.

I just got tired of Gibson's, Fenders, and the other usual suspects, so I hope I do like these, when I finally get to play a nice one.

Right now, I am playing European guitars and really love them a lot.

I hope you like the new one you are getting. :)

Maple Neck 305 :)
Congrats on the new guitar I was hoping to slow down but the SC58 and then a 513 later ;)

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

Gotta wonder if Rider1260 was watching the eBay or other listing...

EDIT: and here's another small crop just for fun:

There was a 305 maple neck I noticed on one of the forums :)
Looks like mine CONGRATS on a great score 305s are great you can really tune it to your liking with small changes in pickup height

Rider1260, I love the 513 birds on yours!

I assume (!) that your finish color is called McCarty Tobacco Burst? I think the one headed to me is the same.

There are a lot of yellow/red/dark bursts that PRS has implemented over the years that can look very similar...
