What are the A & D chords he does at the octave just after the 4:00 minute mark? I can't figure out the positions/strings/notes/frets. Any help? Yes, I suck. I should be able to figure them out but having a tough time.

Grand Funk Railroad - I'm Your Captain - Guitar Lesson (chords, strumming pattern, intro and more!)
I learned the intro to this a little different using the 2nd and third strings, but his way sounds pretty good too.
Going to try the chords his way.
Back around '73 a band I was in while in the 10th grade we had a really good drummer who also excelled at guitar.
He could play this song on guitar perfectly including the guitar solo.
I really liked the first couple of albums from them, and played them all the time back then.
