......but I would like to see a PRS with a pick guard. For example, my goldtop DGT would look cool with G style. YMMV.

Let the barrage begin!

It probably wouldn't take too much for you to adapt and attach a guard of your choosing to your own guitar. It's yours, so go for it and then show us the results!

That is a very cool idea. Can't wait to see what that looks like. Have your attorney ready in case gibson decides to sue you! I'll chip in 5 dollars for legal fees!

Well played, Gush! I got 5 bucks too. And there are plenty of guard blanks you can cut to fit...get a thin sheet of black plastic and cut a template our two...the sky's the limit...for example...a Steeler logo shaped guard would look awesome!!...lol...btw!

10 bucks! Hell yes, he is on his way to legal freedom!!!!! If he goes for making it NOT stay in tune too I'll pitch in another 5 dollars! There are a bunch of guys in ties getting a tingling sensation about now!

I'm not a fan of pickguards in general, I've yanked them off any guitar I've had that didn't require them to be there.

PRS has made private stocks with pick guards.

On my dream build thinline PS, there may indeed be one!*

*Note that I haven't yet gotten around to ordering the dream build. ;)

There was an Std Soapy up in these parts that had a custom-shaped pickguard added--kind of an LP Jr/LP combination shape. I'm assuming it went from store to store as a trade-in, since I saw it in at least three stores. This particular one was not an improvement! That said, I'm interested to see what you come up with.

I do not condone pickguards on PRS guitars, but if you do it, use maple or rosewood.
