I just picked up this nice 2003 Purple flametop Custom 24

That looks like ‘raspberry’ to me, only made in ‘03 and ‘04 (iirc). Are the back and neck finished black?

Back and sides black, I think ifs the sunlight, it is between raspberry and purple depending on the light. Its serial number is 03.

I thought ot was a troll on fading blues.

The light changes the color it is between raspberry and purple. Nice color but a little dark.

Congrats Sweet guitar , you did not overpay IMHO lots of internet folks will say I got an XYZ for $1000 but that's not reality for most folks. I used to say any Core PRS below 2K was a steal likely now that number seems to be 3K

Another thing, I got the original PRS brochure from 2003, it doesn’t list Raspberry as a color. Wonder why if it was available.
