Can somebody explain to me the difference between the TCI 85/15 in the SE Custom, S2 Custom, and Core Custom? I know the TCI 85/15 in SE is an “S” made in Indonesia. The Core I think is straight forward TCI 85/15 American made, but where I get confused is the S2 line. I’ve seen them labeled as TCI 85/15 S, but there seems to be a difference as well between the S2 Custom 24-08 (shaped differently) and the S2 Custom 24. Are these just 85/15 S that are American made? So we are looking at 3 different sets of 85/15 humbuckers?

The S2 line started with the Korean-made pickups, and occasionally there would be special runs with USA pickups and electronics.

In 2024 they switched to USA pickups and electronics across the S2 line, so the model year has an impact on which version of the pickups is installed at the factory.
