How to wire partial-tap resistors in 5-way rotary selector

Cool, lots of combination possibilities with 4 poles. Now just figure out which pup wire is the split/tap, and you're set.

right. that is what i'm trying to get direction on. what are the two points to add the resistors to help increase the volume during splitting.

maybe post pics of the back of the pups to see if someone knows which is the “split” wire. otherwise, i assume it is the red wire.

So here’s another one... I have a set of 58/15s that wanted to try in my 1998 CE22 with a rotary 5 way... since positions 2 and 4 still use one coil from each pickup, will the magnets need to be flipped in one pickup to avoid phasing issues? Thanks!
