Good afternoon, I am new in this forum.
I would like to know if my PRS is original, I bought it used and did not have documentation.
If it is original, could I get new documentation?

Thank you very much

Mike

Post pictures of everything here, and then you can print out our replies and keep them in the case.
:D

So on a more serious note:

What do you think you bought? If you bought from a regular, reputable guitar dealer, why would you question the authenticity of the guitar? Or did you buy it from eBay/Craigslist/whatever?

Yes, actually, start by posting some pictures here - you have to upload them somewhere else, then link them.

(Ignore the suggestion for Photobucket, use Imgur or another more modern photo hosting site.)

And/or post the MODCAT, if it is a USA made model:

sorry for the delay in answering, I will try to upload some photos. The guitar is bought by a private person.

1997 CU24, 10 top, "Scarlet Sunburst"? (we'd call that "Scarlet Smokeburst", "Regular" neck (a bit thinner, side to side, than a Wide-fat or Wide-thin, and midway between the two for "thickness").

Rotary switch for pickup selector. Early winged tuners with the common D-G.

Looks sweet! And looks to be in great condition for the age! Great catch!

Oh, yes, legit.

There is no way to get new paperwork. Sorry.

If you can't get the picture posting thing together you can always do the taste test. You can lick the finish of your guitar to check it's authenticity, notice the look of bitter aftertaste that this guitarist has after finding his metal masterpiece guitar is a fake.

Prs will have a savory, almost nutty flavor with a hint of black truffle.
