I bought the Tascam last year off of Amazon.
I wanted to try a Shure SM57 mic as I hear those are really good for putting by your cab.
How does one hook one of these up to the 1/8" jack input on the Tascam?

Thanks...

Thanks for the link, lots of options there.
The first one takes an awful lot of adapters, and one suggestion was using a direct XLR to 1/8" adapter.
I found one on Amazon that is a "Prime" account offering, so I can get it 1 or 2 days if that will work properly.

Also on the Shure sm57s, Amazon lists two.

Are they indeed the same, the first one is listed as cardoid.

PS, I ordered one of these this morning, the S Series one.

Update, one of the Boeing sound engineers at work wants me to bring in my Tascam tomorrow to look at, as he uses Shure 57 and 58s at work.
He thinks he can get me setup with what I need to go out and purchase.
He deals with this kind of stuff daily running presentations at work.
