How tight...?

I have an S2 Standard 22. How tight is enough to tighten up those locking tuners? I don't want to damage it...

I use my fingers on them and turn them till they stop, then grab a coin and go about 1/8 of a turn.

It depends on the string tho, the wound strings get more, the plain ones get less.

Like, snug, but not tight.

You might try to find the right place by tightening them less that you might think, and then going more if you notice them slip.

What BP said. Finger-tight, plus a "coin's perhaps" a little extra, just to secure the locking mechanism but not potentially cut into/clip the string.

I’ve always just gone hand tight, and have been fine.

I go with hand tight using my thumb and middle finger.
That grip gives you enough leverage to lock them but
not enough to do any damage.

I found that finger tight is good enough except for the smallest strings. I need just a bit with a quarter to nail those tiny ones. The screw can take a lot more than you give it to keep the strings in place. Just go a little at a time and if a string slips, go a little more next time.

Like andy474x, just hand tight has worked for me.

+1 for hand tight. It's especially easy to snap the e string if you try to tighten too much. It doesn't take as much as you'd think to hold them in.
