How much would PRS charge to refret my 1993 Custom 22?

Interesting. In the Netherlands highest price I found was with PLEK and cost me about 350. Maybe my frame of reference is off ☺️

That’s a reasonable price for factory refret. Taylor charges the same, I had a T5 refretted last year. You can save some if you do a partial (first 10 frets, if I recall), if you’re only needing the lower section redone. Sweetwater also does refrets at a similar cost, with options for stainless at $100 upcharge, if wear is a big issue for you.

An independent luthier might save you some cash, if you can find a good one. I don’t have that option in my area, so I opted to trust the folks who put in the original frets to get it back to “like new.” A bonus for me was that Taylor went over the whole guitar, and replaced a few other worn items (with my consent, of course) at no additional charge. I’m sure PRS does the same sort of tests prior to returning the instrument.

Good luck!

To add to the conversation, those have have had it done by the PTC, what's the turn around time? My McCarty needs at least a partial and was considering the PTC as well.
