How much has the McCarty changed?

I know this is a weird question but would you say that most players feel that the DGT pickup is the best all-around pickup the PRS is making right now?

Difficult to call an artist pickup only available in an artist model that isn't in most players stable the best all arounder. Only you can decide that anyhow, but I'd say no. I'm more inclined to go with a pickup available across models and years that's also for sale in the accessory story. Each their own.

Yes I would have to agree with you on that one. In your own opinion, what do you think the most popular PRS pickup is right now? 5708?

To answer your question, I asked myself one:

"If I could choose between old McCarty pickups, 5xx/xx series pickups that came after....what would I choose?"

The answer would be ANY of the 5x series over the old McCarty's every time. The old McCarty's are very good pickups, but the 5x/xx series that came after are top of the heap with anything as far as PAF style pickups. IMO/IME of course.
