How many CU22 Soapbars were made?

In the first run of these guitars from the late 90's with the Regular "D" neck....anybody know how many were made in that initial run before they retired the model?

I've always heard between 500 & 600. I had a nice one. Had to let it go to pay The Man. It's the one PRS I really wish I had back.:bawling:

I bought my son a 1998 CU22 Soapy, and borrowed it often! In fact, I finally decided I needed one, but by then they had discontinued the model, so I went McCarty Soapbars; I had one with a 'hog neck and one with a RW neck. Also highly recommended.
