I have been meaning to try a Mark V. It looks pretty intense without being option paralysis. The controls are well planned.
Great amp, people rag on them because they don't know how to set them up, but if you can get your head around them and how the different modes work (and what EQ settings will work with each mode) then you're laughing.

There's a fantastic video on YT where Doug West takes you through some different sounds, the video is worth it alone just to watch Doug's body language. It's clear he spent a lot of time/effort on this amp and that satisfaction really comes through in that vid. After I got used to the amp I watched the vid again and used some of his settings as a base, I recommend doing this (just jot down his settings and take them with you when you try the amp) as some of them are really good.

I really want to be "all in" (don't ask my why!), and would love to pick up a PRS amp. I think a 2 Channel Custom would be perfect, who needs 3-channels when you have an amp with gain so responsive to guitar volume?

I am down to two combos: my Mesa Express Plus 5:50, and the little Tubemeister 18.

I love the Mesa more and more every day, lotsa folks talking about the Mark V above, the new Plus update on the Expresses make them real contenders for less money.

The Tubemeister is a fun little amp, love the size, sounds much bigger than it is, but the gain on the Mesa has me spoiled - the TM is a bit crunchy, and the lead boost is WAY overdone for my tastes, so I still need to stick a pedal in front. The Mesa needs nothing.

I de-amped my Blackstars recently, clean channels weren't cutting it.

Really? "I'm not an amp guy."

So, today I go meet this guy to sell him a pedal. It turns out he is a vintage guitar and amp dealer.

We start talking about amps and some of the new stuff that's out there now, and I find myself saying..."You should give the new Carvin amp a go. It's a good little amp...three channels...reverb........................and it's only 600 bucks." I had to stop myself before I could tell him it had a boost on every channel and was made in America!

Mesa/Boogie Single Recitifier Solo 50 Head
Mesa/Boogie Dual Caliber DC-3 Combo
Just ordered one of the Marshall 1 watt JVM Anniversary combos.
Smokey amp Cigarette pack amp that I take on business trips with me. Put a Keely modded TS808 in front and it sound OK.

BWAHAHAH!!!

No fair...I was drinking water, which is now running down my shirt.

Too many, but I always seem to have 1 less amp than I need (want).

"How many amps do you own, Les?"

"One."

"But you do this stuff for a living. You could have a lot of amps."

"Yes."

"Well, why don't you?"

"Because I have found The One."

"The one?"

"The amp of Righteousness. The Amp of Truth. The All-Sufficient Amp. I have forsaken all others."

"What if it breaks, won't you need a backup?"

"If it breaks I will need far more than a backup. I will need a physician to mend my broken heart, a shrink to guide me out of my wilderness of pain, and a kind, good-looking woman to soothe my tortured soul. Um...please note that I did specify good-looking, the kind part is just, well, it's window-dressing, really. Optional. Same with the physician and the shrink. Options. Not really that necessary."

"So which amp is The One?"

"Oh that would be represented in the obligatory pic required of most PRS Forum posts:"

Three:
Marshall MG100 head + PRS SE 2x12 cabinet (main rehearsal room)
Fender Frontman 2x12 (second rehearsal room)
Roland Cube 30W (home)

That woman Les mentioned would come in handy too...

As of right now it goes alittle like this:

Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier ( 3 channel , 100 watt )
Mesa Boogie Single rectifier ( 2 channel. 50 watt )
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

But I did place an order for a new 2 channel custom with matching 2x12 cab:star:
