How hot are the Santana S pickups that come stock on the Santana SE?

A couple of years ago I posted some pickup resistance measurements from my 2018 Santana SE. The neck was as posted above and the bridge was a bit over 12k.

Hotter? Yes. There is more then just resistance that factors in here. A few weeks ago a dude posted his site that measured inductance from many, many different pickups. That may give you more answers.

And thank you @aphantomvaper !

I actually think the stock pups are pretty good. What I really like about them, and it might be my setup (amp, compression, etc.) is they have a lot of sustain. I can sing out a note for some time and it sounds really good.

That’s really great to hear. I was really hoping that would be the case :):):). Cool Beans, and thank you @AZGiant

I can't quantitate like someone above, and don't mean to directly contradict @Boogie , but I think they are pretty hot. I just got a Santana SE. It's a used one, a 2001 so Korean rather than Indonesian. Maybe that makes a difference; I don't know. And don't ask me why I bought an SE when I have a core. Don't ask because I don't know the answer. An entirely different conversation, isn't it?

But I got it home, plugged it in, and was just about blown off my stool. It was so loud. I had to turn the volume down on my amp, Blues, Jr., immediately. I can't remember what I had plugged in previously, but I think a Gibson 325 with mini-humbuckers, but that may not be correct. But it is hot. At least the older Korean one is!

Rod, first off... THANK YOU for the purchase... this puts you in our elite, good company... a "repeat offender" :D
Next the top on this particular guitar is KILLER !!! It's way better in person that the photo shows.
It should be ready for pickup late tomorrow. I hope you love it!

Actually i own a Santana se standard the One with biinding around body and neck from 2018... Santana Se pickup..neck read 8k, bridge 8.6k.
They're great pickup..need to be a Little closer to the string than factory setting but then they sounds great! A paf with more mids..someway in the style of whole lotta humbucker from duncan

My SE Santana pickups say they are G & B SP -SANT- BNU-Z NECK PICKUP, AND SANT- TNU-Z BRIDGE PICKUP. AND WERE 8K AND 10.5K I was needing a more vintage tone out of the guitar and ended up changing the A5 magnets to A2 that did the trick. The Hot vintage tone fits what I hoped for. It's like having a melody maker that happens to have 24 frets and a tremolo bridge. Win win
