How high are the chances that Prs will release a Core Multiscale or a Se?

I have seen pictures from Private Stock Multiscales and last weekend I’ve found one at Thomann for 12000€.

I totally fell in love with them but the prices are just insane.

How likely would a Core or Se Version be in your opinion?

I think that many modern metal players would love to get one too replace their Ibanez or Schecter.

Buy a used SE, steam off the fretboard, install a new fanned fret fretboard, which will need to be custom due to PRS 25inch scale length.
Be seen playing it on stage and you'll sell it to everyone and PRS will make it.

Maybe easier is just pull all the frets, fill the old slots, and recut for new slots to install new frets.

For the Core line and S2 guitars PRS uses a CNC to cut the fret slots -- so it's pretty 'easy' to program in fanned frets. After that the fret install is no different after the slots mark where things go.

Key is, like any business, they will need to see demonstrated demand.

A few years back you'd trip over all the 7,8,9 string guitars and now .. I hardly ever see them. The fad disappeared. The fretless guitars have seemed to vanish as well. Will fanned frets go the same path of the fad too? Who knows. I can barely keep my fingers on the classic straight frets so I have no desire to experiment with fanned frets myself -- but I see a lot of curious players.
