How do I find out who has wood library guitars in the works to order?

I'm after a 24-08 with a maple neck. All the ones I ever find are already sold. How does one find out in advance when a retail shop is doing a run?

Have you contacted the dealers that have the sold ones to see if more are on the way?

What I've done in the past when I am looking for something special (or if I'm late to the party) is to go to the PRS website and bookmark every Signature dealer listed and check their sites. Sometimes if what you are looking for isn't on Reverb you might find it on one of the sites. Certain dealers tend to do special runs more often than others.

At least 5 of the signature PRS retailers on the PRS site do their own runs. Call the dealers who do

There are several dealers on here. I’m sure there is a way of searching for them and you could hit them up with a PM.

I would first try John Mann and Willcutt’s… they both order/carry a number of Wood Library gutiars.
I think John has what you might be looking for…..He and Andy are great folks, and their setups are superb….

But is the maple neck just for aesthetic reasons? Tone wise, an all maple neck is going to be brighter, similar to a CE series . Just sayin….

Wow. I'd better do my taxes and make sure I'm getting $5k back, one way or the other.

No, I like maple necks. My other PRS's are 3x old style CE-24 and 1x SAS. Other than them, my next favorite guitars are my Tele and even my 7 string LTD has a maple neck that I love. The more satin the neck, the better. I hate hate hate painted necks. Too sticky.

Best thing you can do is call... those dealers spec the runs well in advance, they take a while to be built (probably even more so right now), if they have what you want on order, they'll know it.
