How close to pattern regular is the DGT neck?

To me the width seems similar but the carve is more V ish than the Regular. I think it would be an easier transition from reg to DG than to WT.

While at the Experience last year one of the private stock guys said it was the same carve. I know I have had both and they felt interchangeable. I suspect differences are due to final sanding.
