I can relate to all.
After getting seduced into trying various pedals, I have arrived at the point where I simply prefer no pedals. No distractions from getting the sound I want from my guitar and hands. I have a similar addiction to many herein that I now have a few PRS guitars. My favorite PRS are the simplest. P90s with one volume and one tone. Simple, refined, elegant and the tone is super rewarding to my ear. Interestingly to me, the most expensive PRS that I have is not to my ear, the most sonically rich. I am often caught by surprise at how the least expensive PRS that I have is every bit as rewarding to play as the most expensive.
Regardless of my very real love and admiration for the entire PRS range, I have one cheap guitar that I feel has everything that my PRS's have. That is a $300 Ibanez AM50 from 1983. Price does not always equate to superiority. I also have another guitar, Rick Turner Model 1, that has everything and more than even my personal favorite PRS PS has.
No matter which guitar I happen to be using, I am always better with no pedal.
