Hollowbody SE bridge/pickup height

Picked this up used a few days ago. Does this look weird to anyone? It seems to play fine, but I've never seen the bridge or bridge pickup so high.

Well one thing this has the newer lower pickup rings so more of the pickup shows. That’s normal. Without seeing the whole guitar it’s hard to say if the bridge is abnormally high. I would say if everything checks out with neck relief, nut, action and intonation then it’s good. The bridge pickup seems a bit high, but that’s something that can be adjusted. Personally the bridge doesn’t seem overly high.

That's a bit lower than my Stripped 58 bridge, which also has raised pole pieces. Some guitars, especially with moderate or low output pickups if you're trying to hit the amp harder, sound better with the bridge close to the strings.

Adjust using your ears, document your settings and you should be fine.
