Hi there,
I did my search but did not find an answer here. So my honest apologies in advance, if this topic was already addressed.

I have a PRS Hollowbody II with trem and piezo. Instead of being wired to my two amps (Marshall Acoustic & Hughes Kettner Tubemeister) I would like to use 2 transmitters to connect.

My questions to the experienced players are:
1) did you encounter interference by having two transmitters operating so close to each other?
2) what transmitting system would you recommend as reliable in real life?
3) what system would you consider being the best for such a setup, disregarding budget?

Hi! I had to remember my password and everything here to answer this! I haven’t logged in for years.

To your question. I use 2 Shure BLX4 transmitters mounted to my guitar strap. I keep them about 3-6 inches apart. I’ve been gigging with this setup for a couple years now with the SE HB Pz. I haven’t had any issues. I have used both transmitters in the same band, and recently switched one to a different band and both have been solid.

I can’t say how two of those small 2.4 or 5ghz dongles will perform being right next to each other, but I don’t think I would ever try that.

Hope this helps!

Two separate transmitters seems to be the way to go as @iRedFive suggests. I've had a look at the wireless systems, but apparantly stereo transmission is not a thing for these kinds of applications. Would be great if you'd be able to just plug in a Y-cable into the guitar, TRS into the transmitter, and then split the signal again at the receiver end.
I figured something like that would exist, with for example musical performers wearing a mic and a backup mic, but I guess they also wear two transmitters then..
