Hollowbody II Piezo high E stopped working.

Have an older 20th Anniversary HB II. Afraid to pull out Piezo guts. Seems to hang up inside when I do. The E string goes out then comes back after fiddling with the electronics. Any ideas?

If it's just the E-string, you could have a bad piezo saddle/crystal, or a problem with your circuit board. Either way, sounds like a legit reason to send to the PTC. That preamp is especially made for PRS, I don't know anyone who would be better to fix it.
