Keep on gliding Brother W! Hope you have a great day and even better year ahead!! One more trip around the sun ;~))
Sorry to hear that Mr. Bodia! I had a revelations at 36 as well, but it was me realizing that I had lived half of my life since I had graduated high school! I literally pondered on this for a month or so. Nowhere near what you were thinking about, but nevertheless, a revelation at 36!!
My new goal (well new as in 2021 when I figured this out) is to live to be 1,000 moons! That will happen just shy of your 81st birthday and I want to be able to say (in shaky old man voice) "I've lived under a thousand moons . . ."! If you want to know your moon age, you can calculate it using my
Luna Clock which I built in 2005 and it has been online ever since (note that it is NOT optimized for mobile devices and updates in browsers lately have rendered some overlap in elements, but it still functions on all devices I have tried it on) ;~))
As for age, I have felt for many years that age is just a state of mind to an extent. Our bodies are aging of course and we loose bits and pieces to time, but how you live your life and how you feel about living your life is a better determinant of your "age" IMO. I of course wrote a song about this. This song was written ~18 years ago, and 6 weeks after I wrote it, I started dating my GF who I have been with ever since! I have not even looked at this song in over a decade, but I think I need to spruce it up a bit (third verse, a bridge, adjust some of the words for better timing, etc.) and work out some guitar parts as I still to this day believe in it's message (though my body disagrees more each year) ;~))

<Verse 1>
Justify
Can you justify why
We keep counting
Every year gone by
Changing sky
Do you count the clouds
A passing
And put a number on their lives
So why should I
Keep
Tick and tocking
To a number I’m assigned
No I’ll be fine
With the feelings
That I’m feeling
I know my age inside
Because
<Chorus>
Age is just a state of mind
Don’t grow old by numbers
You can live like a wild child
Until your final slumber
Age is just a state of mind
Pay no mind to numbers
Look inside and you will see why you got to
March to your own drummer
<Verse 2>
In disguise
Do you realize why
People counting
Every year gone by
By design
They make you
Feel older
So that you keep counting time
Run and hide
Don’t let them take
Your minds life
Cause there not on your side
Synchronize
Your inner needs
And feelings
To the skin you wear outside
And show them
<Chorus>
Age is just a state of mind
Can’t grow old by numbers
You can live like a wild child
Until your final slumber
Age is just a state of mind
You don’t need no numbers
Look inside and free the child
Let’s all have some fun here
<Outro>
Age is just
Just a state
Age is just a
State of mind
Age is just
Just a state
Age is just a
State of mind
Age is just
Just a state
Age is just a
State of mind
Age is just
Just a state
Age is just a
State of mind
