We were small but we were slow...
... old fart now....
They don't bother me.... hence the self deprecating jokes.... LoL!Happy Birthday!
I am a little ahead of you. I have never really been bothered much by any of the numbers that have come and gone. For some reason the one this year is getting me. It has been getting me for the past 6 months or so. Hopefully that will go once my birthday gets here.
For Heinz products, too!Happy Birthday! 57 is significant!
Like I said, they never bothered me before now either. I had two ages that gave me a slight pause. Those were the ages my parents were when they passed. They both passed way too young. Those years gave me thoughts of I am getting years they didn't get so I need to make the best of those years. This year is a much different thought for me.They don't bother me.... hence the self deprecating jokes.... LoL!
I can relate. The only birthday that really bothered me was 36. That was the year that I had lived more of my life without my dad than I did with him in it. He died a few weeks after I turned 18.Like I said, they never bothered me before now either. I had two ages that gave me a slight pause. Those were the ages my parents were when they passed. Sorry to hear that Mr. Bodia! I had a revelations at 36 as well, but it was me realizing that I had lived half of my life since I had graduated high school! I literally pondered on this for a month or so. Nowhere near what you were thinking about, but nevertheless, a revelation at 36!!I can relate. The only birthday that really bothered me was 36. I am also firmly in this camp!As for age, I have felt for many years that age is just a state of mind to an extent. Our bodies are aging of course and we loose bits and pieces to time, but how you live your life and how you feel about living your life is a better determinant of your "age" IMO.
I hear people say “age is just a number” all the time. In some ways I agree, but there is no denying that as the number goes up, wear and tear on the body is more noticeable and everything takes longer to heal.Happy Birthday Sir!
I will be 60 in May. The numbers don't bother me too much but the way my body is falling apart does.
